The Mealtime Partner is a delicate instrument. It will provide long service if treated appropriately.

bulletRemove the Table Clamp from the carton and attach securely to the table. The table should be level to ensure that the Partner will be level.
bulletRemove the Support Arm from the carton. Loosen the Handle in the middle of the Support Arm by turning the handle counterclockwise. The arm can then be spread and the angle adjusted.
bulletLift the Partner Dining Unit out of the carton and sit onto a level surface. Avoid lifting the bowl support or pushing the bowl support towards the side.
bulletInsert the Arm Clamp Shaft into the Clamp and secure by turning the Lock Knob Clockwise until it no longer turns freely. Loosen very slightly so that the clamp shaft can rotate in the clamp, but that the arm cannot be lifted from the clamp.
bulletLift the Partner and position it directly above the Rotation Shaft. Lower the device onto the shaft. Rotate the Lock Knob on the back of the Dining Device until it moves into the lock notch. The Partner will not be able to come off of the Support Arm when this occurs, but will still be free to rotate.
bulletRemove the A/C Charger Adaptor from the carton.

After shipping, where the Mealtime Partner might have been exposed to excessive temperatures, let it sit for a few hours to return the internal battery to normal temperatures before continuing. After the temperature of the unit has normalized:

bulletPlug the connector on the A/C Charger Adaptor into the right side of the Partner.
bulletPlug the A/C Charger Adaptor into a 120 volt AC wall outlet.
bulletThe charge indicator light below the A/C Charger Adaptor plug on the right side of the unit will turn amber, indicating that the battery is charging. Leave the A/C Charger Adaptor plugged in until the charge indicator light turns green. Green indicates that the battery is fully charged.

Go to the General Information Section of the Mealtime Partner User's Manual for more information you need to know about the Device.
